Cabela's

And to finish our whirlwind of a trek back home from the East, we stopped at Cabela's in Sydney, NE.  Had we known that the interstate would be closed a mere 2 hours later, we would have stayed in Sydney instead of continuing on to Cheyenne, WY and then having to scramble to find a hotel that 1. wasn't booked solid and 2. had a pool to entertain the kids since it was only 6:30pm and they were keyed up from being in the car for so long!  Luckily we were able to find one and the kids enjoyed being able to swim for a couple hours before bed.  The interstate opened about 8am the next morning and we were back on our way home, making it back to Pocatello about 6pm in time for Joe to get his truck and head to work for the night :)

On our drive home, we decided to veer off course by a few miles and showed the kids Niagara Falls.  We got there at 4:15pm and the observation deck closes for the day at 4:30pm in the winter so we were pretty much running to make it to the observation deck to get a better view.  The worker in charge of locking up was really nice and actually let us stay a few extra minutes to take a few pictures and look through the big binoculars.  Man it was freezing, but fun to see!

On our little side trip to Boston, we took the kids to CoCo Key Indoor Water Park.  We spent an entire evening and had a great time!

Bailey was the only brave one to walk out on these rocks with Joe and I (it was really slipery though)!

While we were in MA we decided to take a side trip up to Boston to see some of the sights.  We were able to go to the Salem Witch Museum and show the kids the Atlantic Ocean.  With this trip, we have driven over 15,000 miles, seen the Pacific Ocean, the Gulf of Mexico, the Atlantic Ocean and a lot in between in less than 2 years!  We feel very blessed to be able to give these experiences and memories to our kids!

We were able to take the kids and drive to MA for Joe's grandpa's funeral last month.  It was nice to be able to see his side of the family, though we wish it were under different circumstances.

Since we were back in MA for the funeral, we called Will (Billie to us) and went to see him and his beautiful family.  Our loved playing with other kids their ages and it was so fun to catch up after 8 years!
